AWESOME!
The Official Spider-Man 3 Trailer! Set your faces to stunned.
Now, I don't normally make seperate entries for any old movie trailer. But, let's face it - this is no normal movie. This is the greatest comic book movie franchise of all time. (Hmm, there's a possible future thread..)
And here it is...

Well, making Sandman Uncle Ben's killer was something I didn't expect, but it at least means he won't be just some second-rate "beat him at the start" villain (which I was worried about). Looks like there's gonna be three villains after all, although with Sandman AND Venom running around, I can't help but think Harry's "boo-hoo, you killed my father" act is going to carry much weight.
But, regardless - it's looking superb. I simply cannot wait.

Yeah, that trailer was pretty awesome, but I spent the whole time going "show Venom, show Venom, show Venom..." so I had to watch it again to really enjoy it. I even tried pausing on my DVR to get a better look at Hobgoblin, but he's just a blur in the split seconds he appears. I'm going to guess (hope) that Venom shows up at the very end of this film and thext one will be all about him and maybe even some Carnage action. That's my fanboy wish along with finally seeing the Lizard on the big screen. Gonna be so cool. Seriously, if this isn't the best movie ever I'll consider it a disappointment. No pressure on the filmmakers, though.
I could be, well, Curmudgeon-like and try and take the credit for this, but it was Invisible Wolfman's find on another site. What the hell, we're all friends here right?
Stick around till the end of this unedited, rough as hell trailer (note: all the effects are very basic) because you wantVenom<, Trashy? You got him...
Damn, almost getting the hang of this link business.
(Checks) It still works though.
Really? Man, I LOVED the second one. The way it followed the whole "Spider-Man No More" idea, the superb portrayal of Doc Ock, making him much more than a cartoon villain, the fight on the train, not to mention fanboy nods to Dr Strange and having Bruce Campbell (again). The car through the window, the fight on the clock tower, the whole Osbourne thing...
What's not to love?
DOH! Looks like that video you linked to has been removed. But I did find some teaser images on google that were as killer as I could have hoped. How they're going to turn Topher Grace into that will be something to see. As much as I'm dying to see Venom in motion, some part of me wants to wait until I see him on the big screen so I can (hopefully) be truly blown out of my seat when he finally appears. I'm sure my curiosity will get the better of me in the end, and I'll scour the net for that video, but for now, the teasers'll do. For now. My verdict Spidey 2: I thought Molina was perfect as Doc Ock, my only real complaint with the whole film was the scene where Spidey gets unmasked and everyone's like "We'll keep your secret, Spiderman". That was a real eye-roller for me. Peter Parker getting unmasked in public just seemed wrong to me. Hell, he just recently unmasked in public for the first time (I think) in the comics after some 40 years of hard-won anonymity. Other than that, I thought the second film was as good as the first which is to say pitch perfect, all things considered. A little more of that classic Spiderman trash talk wouldn't hurt, though.
Trashy - YES! I thought the "we won't tell Spidey.." bit was hogwash as well. So what if he saved their lives, you just KNOW someone on that packed train would have been taking a picture or leaked his details to the press.
But, well - whatever. That sucks the video's been taken down. Here's a better site for you, and Wolfman's even made an animated gif of Venom.. very nice...
WOlfman - I would have said a Manga villain more. All we needed was a close up of you with air rushing behind you and a good shot of your gaping, saliva filled mouth.
Then you turn into a monster.
All right! I found the video on another site and it kicked ass. It showed me just enough to assure me that Venom would be awesome without really showing him in the harsh light of day and diminishing the thrill of when I see him on the big screen for the first time. Again, I can't wait.
Agreed. Now then - who the hell ARE you???
