Welcome to the Fortress.

First of all, let me make one thing clear - I HATE blogs. Who gives a crap what some idiot you never met is doing tonight or when his dogs birthday is? One person only - the idiot that wrote it in the first place. So, you may well be asking yourself; "Curmudgeon old buddy old pal, if you don't like Blogs, why the Hell are you writing one?"


Good question. Well, I'd never really thought about it until very recently, when I got an e-mail from someone asking why I didn't have a website, or a Myspace or a Blog.. and then I scanned through the e-mails in my inbox over the last few months, and I found that there really were quite a few enquiries like this. So I figured why not? I tend not to spread myself too thinly over the net, and only really go on a few websites to vent my spleen - so why not just vent it on my own site? That way, I'm not going to get banned am I? Gotta admit, it'd make a nice change.

So I'll tell you this now - I have NO idea what I'm doing. I've never written this kind of thing before, so if it sucks or it fails - hey, that's life. But I've got a few nice e-mails from people in the past that have read my Amazon reviews, so if I can get that kind of net user hovering around my site and contributing - excellent. Also, the people that have written to me angered at my Amazon reviews will be invited too. And that leads me to my next topic.

Whatever is written, by whoever, will NEVER be edited or removed WHATEVER the topic or content. I can't STAND when people remove my threads or edit them or ban me for simply speaking my mind, so I would be an absolute hypocrite if I did the same. So, whatever people write on this site, whether it's the most racist, sexist hate-filled garbage on the planet, I will NOT remove it.

Anyway, enough talk. Like I said, I have NO idea what I'm doing here. There will be no fancy graphics or moving icons, no pop ups or cute stuff - it's going to be ALL about the writing. So if you can think of suggestions to improve this "blog", please feel free to let me know. I'll probably ignore you, but you never know..
